Starting a personal Genome wallet

Before you start

Before beginning your registration, please check whether you are eligible to open a Personal Genome Wallet. Registration availability may differ by country or region, and all applications are subject to onboarding and compliance checks.

If you are eligible, download the Genome mobile application or register at my.genome.eu using your email address or phone number. You will need to confirm your account using a code sent by email or SMS.

Follow the steps below to complete your Personal Wallet registration.

  1. Make sure you are in the Personal Wallet and proceed with the verification.

  2. Provide your first and last name and date of birth exactly as they appear in your passport or ID card.

  3. Choose your registered address. It must match the address shown in your official documents.

  4. If your registered address matches your home address, select the checkbox to confirm it.

  5. Choose your current home address. It should match the place where you currently live. If you confirmed that your registered address matches your current home address, this step will be skipped.

  6. Enter and verify your phone number. If you verified it while creating your account, this step will be skipped.

  7. Enter and verify your email address. If you verified it while creating your account, this step will be skipped.

  8. Select your country of tax residency and enter your Tax Identification Number (TIN).

  9. If you do not have a TIN, select the checkbox and provide a reason.

  10. Specify the reason for opening your Genome account.

  11. Select the countries from which you expect to receive transfers. Please review the list of prohibited countries for clients, beneficiaries, payment destinations, and other relationships.

    If you intend to send funds to the same countries, select the checkbox to confirm it.

  12. Select the countries to which you plan to send transfers. Please review the list of prohibited countries for clients, beneficiaries, payment destinations, and other relationships.

    If you previously confirmed that you intend to send funds to the same countries, this step will be skipped.

  13. Select your document type and country of issuance. Make sure the document will remain valid for at least one more month.

  14. Complete the identity verification process using your mobile device. For detailed instructions, see Required documents for the Personal Wallet verification.

  15. After submitting your details, verification typically takes 15–20 minutes, but in some cases it may take up to 1–2 business days. You will receive a notification once your account is ready.
