From 21 September 2026, Genome applies a 1% fee for topping up your Genome account by card where the top-up is not initiated in your Genome account. The fee applies from 1 October, 2026.
When the fee applies
The fee applies when your Genome account is topped up using a card issued at another bank or financial institution, without you initiating the top-up in your Genome account. The card used to fund the top-up may be issued in the name of any person.
How the fee is charged
The full top-up amount is credited to your Genome account. The 1% fee is then charged as a separate transaction. Both entries appear in your statement, so you can always see the full amount credited and the fee charged separately.
How it appears in your statement
The fee appears as "Top-up by card (initiated outside Genome)", the same name used in Genome pricing.
Where to find it
The fee is listed under card transfer fees in Genome pricing for personal and business wallet users.
If you top up your Genome account yourself by signing in and using your own card, a different fee applies. See “What fees are applied for adding money by card?”
