If you see a transaction you do not recognize inside your wallet and suspect it is unauthorized, you must act fast.
Block your card immediately. To do so:
- Open Genome’s dashboard (either web or app version);
- Go to the Cards menu;
- Open the Settings tab;
- Block the card.
Once you’ve done that, find out where the transaction was made and contact the merchant to notify them that a fraudulent situation has occurred. If the merchant doesn’t agree to refund a payment, you can file a dispute. Check this article for instructions on how to file a dispute.
Although fraudulent situations require your immediate action, please try staying calm during the process so you don't miss any important steps.
