As part of our regulatory obligations, we are required to ensure that all Genome accounts remain secure and protected from unauthorized access to personal wallets.
To support this, we have introduced a new security feature: selfie verification.
In certain cases, such as performing specific actions or updating your personal details, you may be asked to complete a short video selfie verification.
What happens if you don’t perform the verification?
Please note that while the selfie verification is in progress, some wallet features may be temporarily unavailable. Once verification is successfully completed, full access will be restored. These steps are necessary to protect your account and comply with regulatory requirements.
Common reasons for selfie verification rejection include:
- You didn't enable access to the camera or the microphone
- Poor lighting during the photo or video
- Another person appeared in the frame
- Your eyes were closed, or you were not looking directly into the camera
- Excessive movement or being in a lying position
- Significant changes in appearance compared to your previous verification
To ensure successful verification, please make sure your face is close to the camera, and your facial features are clearly visible.
In case your verification has been rejected, you can always retry by pressing the "retry" button on a notification.
If you experience any difficulties while completing the selfie verification, please do not hesitate to contact our support team at support@genome.eu. We'll be happy to assist you.
What will it look like?
