Opening a merchant account with Genome is a straightforward process. You need an approved Genome business account before you can apply.
1. Open a Genome business account
If you are new to Genome, first open a business account and complete business verification. Existing Genome business clients can proceed directly to the merchant account application.
2. Apply for a merchant account
In your Merchant Dashboard, open the Accounts section and select the + button to start your application.
3. Complete merchant verification
Complete the Merchant KYC questionnaire and provide all requested information about your business and website.
Upload the required documents. Genome may request additional information or documents during the review.
4. Follow your application status
You can follow the progress of your merchant account application in the Merchant Dashboard.
5. Application review and approval
Genome will review your business, website, industry, country of registration, and the information provided in your application.
If your application is approved, the account status will change to Configuring your account. This means that the merchant account application has been approved and you can proceed with payment integration and settlement account setup. Payment processing is not active yet.

Card payment processing — Coming soon
Visa and Mastercard card processing is coming soon for eligible Genome merchant account holders. Initial availability will be limited to approved low-risk businesses and will depend on the country of registration, industry and merchant category code, processing currencies, due diligence, risk approval and technical setup.
Opening a merchant account does not automatically activate card processing or every other payment method. Genome will confirm which payment methods are available for your merchant account.
