To get a business IBAN, you need to have a verified Genome personal wallet. You can find the instructions on how to create and verify a personal Genome wallet here.
Note. A business wallet can only be opened for officially registered companies and only by the director or a person appointed by the PoA.
IMPORTANT. For sole proprietorship activity, you can open an FOP account inside your personal Genome wallet. A detailed guide on how to open an FOP account is available here.
Once your personal wallet has been verified, you will find your name indicated in the top-left corner. Clicking on your name will let you enter a new menu used to open your Genome business wallet. The business wallet will be added automatically after clicking on 'Add business wallet':
To proceed with the application, follow the next steps:
- On the business wallet's dashboard, click on 'Continue.'
- Select your business type, business activities, number of employees, business model, and public procurement.
Make sure to check the list of prohibited business activities at Genome.
For secondary business activities, you may choose up to 5 options. - Submit your financial information.
Take note that if your financial turnover is calculated in another currency, indicate the approximate amount in EUR. - Submit your business registration details. The submitted information must be exactly the same as it appears on the official documents.
- Enter your company's registration address, which is registered with the government body.
Make sure that the registration address matches exactly the way it appears.
Additionally, the company registration address can be entered manually.
If your office address is the same as your company's registration address, you can check the box to confirm it, and the following step will be skipped. - Choose the office address of your company.
If you selected that your company's registration address is the same as your office address, this step would be skipped. - Submit your company's tax residency information.
If you don't have a TIN or are experiencing other issues, check the box to confirm it. - Select your reasons for opening a Genome account.

Select countries from which you expect to receive transfers. Please check the list of prohibited countries for clients, beneficiaries, payment destinations, and other relationships.
If you intend to transfer funds to the same countries, you can check the box to confirm it. -
Select countries you plan to send transfers to. Please check the list of prohibited countries for clients, beneficiaries, payment destinations, and other relationships.
If you previously checked the box confirming your intent to transfer funds to the same countries, the options in this step will be filled automatically. - Submit the required documents for the business verification. A detailed guide can be found here.
- Choose your company's ownership structure. A detailed guide can be found here.
Note. If you are the direct owner of 100% of the company, the detailed guide can be skipped. - After submitting all the details, verification typically takes up to 3 business days. You will receive a notification once your account is ready.
Note: Please ensure that all the data is provided correctly. Mistakes directly affect the timeframe of the onboarding process.
